CCTV & The CCHS Urban Art Club Team Up!
CCHS’s Urban Art Club has long practiced the ancient art of graffitti just outside the doors of CCTV’s studio, while those working inside were often at a loss of words on how to direct someone en route to the station, exactly how to get to our little space nestled around back (actually not exactly around the back… well, it’s complicated.)
So circle the building no longer! When in doubt, park by the massive rainbow colored mural painted just outside our doors.
CCHS’s Urban Art Club is made up of a handful of incredibly gifted students headed by CCHS teacher and video guru Brian Mahony. With materials donated by CCTV, The Urban Art Club has a 40 ‘ x 8 ‘ wall to practice their craft, a large section of which houses CCTV’s logo, which will be continually incorporated into the mural as the design evolves.
Both a billboard for the station, and a duly needed resource for a talented group of artists, CCTV and The CCHS Urban Art Club is a match made in heaven.
The mural is meant to be an ever-changing, local art display, so as you stop by the station make sure to check it out (it’s not hard to miss), you never know what you might see.
