Workshops and Classes

As a member of CCTV you are eligible to participate in our training classes and workshops throughout the year. We offer training in all aspects of television production. Our classes are offered on an on-going basis and we can set up special class sessions for organizations or groups that have a specific project they would like to work on.  Please contact Education and Outreach Manager Kester Krueger at Kester.Krueger@concordtv.org to sign up for a class or if you have questions about any of our courses.

Upcoming Classes: 

Basic Field Camera $25: 6pm - 8pm April 10th or May 22nd

Learn the basics of operating our field cameras, the Sony NX5U.  In this class you will learn how to, set up the camera, identify the proper camera settings, using and setting up a tripod, what kind of shots to use, and more! 

Basic Lighting for the Field $25: 6pm - 8pm April 11th or May 23rd

Lighting is very important for any production.  Learn how to use the CCTV portable light kits to obtain optimal lighting for basic field productions

Intro to Studio Production $25: (By Appointment)

Editing with Final Cut Pro $50: (3  Sessions) 6pm - 8pm May 1st, 2nd, and 8th.

Editing is how to complete a project.  Using Final Cut Pro 7, students will learn how to transfer footage from a SD card into a project, do basic editing to project footage through cutting, slicing and inserting, and how to add minimal graphics and transitions into a project.  Adding music and adjusting volume will also be covered in this class.
